Composite Forming

With variable speed, stroke, and tonnages, ERIE Composite Presses offer greater flexibility for forming more part configurations in a variety of sizes and processing requirements utilizing single or multiple cavity molds. Adjustable control systems for fast pressure build-up keeps resin gel times to a minimum as mold halves begin closing phase. ERIE designs deliver maximum control and parallelism with minimum platen and side housing deflection. Our presses are ideally suited to any applications demanding precision compression molding of reinforced plastics. ERIE presses handle greater eccentric loads, severe off-center or lateral loading, than conventional models. Long guiding system reduces side housing deflection to prevent mold shear-edge erosion and shifting during closing mode.

Available features include: PLC or PC based logic control with touch screen, operator interface to suit, integrated control for customer ancillary devices, part program storage, data acquisition, auto or manual operation, manifold mounted main control valves, direct coupled axial piston pumps, direct and/or accumulator drive, closed loop system available for position, speed, and pressure control, logic, proportional, and servo control valving.
