Beginning in 1895 as a small gray iron casting plant named Erie Foundry Company, our journey from that day has taken us to the early application and manufacture of over 8,000 forging hammers to today’s state of the art hydraulic and mechanical presses and integrated systems for forging and forming.

These products enable Erie to provide turn-key solutions for press structure, hydraulic and electrical controls, as well as part handling and tooling system integration.

In 2001, ERIE acquired L&F including Hufford and Sheridan Gray special application Stretch Formers and Hot Presses for aerospace, automotive, passenger rail, recreational vehicles, elevator and escalator, decorative metal, and other industries.

Continuing our evolution, we have implemented Continuous Improvement and achieved ISO-9002, QS-9000 T/E, and ISO 9001:2000 certification. Progress over the last 110 years is testimony to the hard work and determination of the ERIE Team.
